Are you a programmer? OCR is one of those things I’ve wanted to study, but never had the time to do so.
Yes, I am a programmer. C and C-like languages, PHP, etc. I’ve been very impressed by the Tesseract-OCR open source project (particularly the “google summer of code” contributions).
I am indexing Korean names. I want to get them right. Is the last name, first name, middle name the correct way of indexing, or is it as the Chinese with first name, middle name, last name.
Question, I have a hard copy one of my wife’s family history (JokBo). I would like to make it digital, but since it is a bound book, what is the best way to copy it to make it easier to index?
I’m trying to figure that out, too.
